Real truth helps Floyd’s lies

It’s a self-protective aspect of human nature to let go of painful memories, and that’s what most of us have done regarding the murderous summer 2020 riots that were sparked by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

But for the people of that fallen city, and for all the police officers across the country who were abandoned and betrayed by their irresponsible political leaders, the pain still burns bright.

It should burn for the rest of us, too, because we are still suffering the consequences of the catastrophic breakdown of law and order across the country. We will continue to do so as long as the lies about George Floyd’s death continue to fester.

A brilliant new crowdfunded documentary, “The Fall of Minneapolis,” aims to remedy our collective amnesia about the events of May 25, 2020, a time when the country was already half-mad from the ravages of COVID-19 and forced shutdowns, and when Democratic Party operatives, including candidates Biden and Harris, took advantage of the Defund Police movement to topple Donald Trump.

Since then, so many lies have been told and so much truth has been buried by the Big Tech censors who control reality, that the documentary comes like a slap in the face.

Wake up, he says. Remember. Look at the truth and hang your head a little ashamed of having let yourself be deceived.

personal connection

“The Fall of Minneapolis” reveals a shocking story of injustice and perfidy, and a ruthless political operation that contained the seeds of the J6 riot at the Capitol eight months later and the resulting hyperbolic crackdown on Trump supporters.

The film was produced by Liz Collin, a former anchor at a CBS affiliate in the Twin Cities who was taken off the air during the riots and demoted because her husband Bob Kroll was the head of the Minneapolis police union at the time. Her home was besieged by angry mobs who shouted insults through megaphones and beat piñata effigies of the couple during the trial of police officer Derek Chauvin.

But she doesn’t allow personal emotions to creep into the film, instead dispassionately driving the narrative with shocking new evidence. Interview Chauvin in prison, where he is turning 21, his mother and many of the police officers who have resigned.

From false testimony at Chauvin’s trial to police body camera footage of Floyd’s arrest that was withheld for two months to the autopsy report that was altered after the FBI became involved, Collin presents a damning forensic record that needs revenge.

Collin is relying on new evidence revealed last month in a sexual harassment lawsuit, filed by former Hennepin County Prosecutor Amy Sweasy, against then-County Prosecutor Mike Freeman.

Sweasy’s complaint details a revolt in the Hennepin County Prosecutor’s Office over the decision to charge Chauvin’s fellow officers, Tou Thao, Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane, with complicity in second-degree murder. Lane and Kueng, who is black, had just left the academy.

Sweasy and three other prosecutors refused to work on the case because it “violated professional and ethical rules.”

In sworn testimony, prosecutors spoke of “crazy people. . . Extreme pressure from the cousins” to which they were subjected to throw the book at Chauvin and accuse the other police officers because “the city was burning.”

One said Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison “took on the Chauvin cases was difficult, especially when we had a governor who was throwing us off.”

The original autopsy report conducted by Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker the day after Floyd’s death found that “there was no physical evidence to suggest that Mr. Floyd died of asphyxiation. Mr. Floyd showed no signs of petechiae, airway or thyroid damage, brain hemorrhage, bone lesions, or internal bruising.”

Sweasy claims Baker also told him that day that “there were no medical findings showing any injury to the vital structures of Mr. Floyd’s neck. “There were no medical indications of asphyxiation or strangulation.”

But then she claims Baker told her: “Amy, what happens when the real evidence doesn’t match the public narrative that everyone has already decided? . . . “This is the kind of case that ends careers.”

On May 31, 2020, Sweasy said Baker shared toxicology test results with prosecutors, which showed Floyd, 46, had a “fatal level of fentanyl” in his blood, along with methamphetamine.

Floyd also had COVID and severe “atherosclerotic heart disease,” with one artery 75% blocked, and “hypertensive heart disease.”

But Ben Crump. The ambulance-seeking attorney who represented the Floyd family and secured a $27 million payment from the Minneapolis City Council told the media: “George Floyd was a healthy young man.”

The private forensic pathologist he hired, Dr. Michael Baden, stated, without seeing Floyd’s body or the autopsy slides, that “there was no underlying medical problem that caused or contributed to his death.”

The documentary says the FBI met with Baker after the Baden review and shortly after the official autopsy report was changed to find Chauvin was the culprit. Floyd’s cause of death was “cardiopulmonary arrest that complicated law enforcement restraint, restraint, and neck compression.”

There are so many shocking things in the documentary.

For example, he discovers that the technique that Chauvin, a “by the book” cop, used on Floyd was an approved technique that he and all other cops had been trained to use by the Minneapolis Police Department. It was called maximum restraint technique (MRT) for handcuffed and uncooperative suspects. All police officers interviewed by Collin said the MRT was part of official training.

In bystander video that went viral after Floyd’s death, it appears that Chauvin’s knee was on Floyd’s neck. But in the body camera footage his knee appears to be on Floyd’s shoulder.

Police Chief Medaria Arradondo testified under oath at Chauvin’s trial that she was “not” a defensive tactics technician trained by Minneapolis police.

But Chauvin’s mother brought out her son’s training manuals in her interview with Collin, which show footage of the MRT.

The images “surely are in Derek’s training manuals, so how can they say they don’t exist?”

But the judge refused to allow the evidence to be shown to the jury.

They all failed Minneapolis and ultimately failed America.

The main offenders highlighted in the film are:

– Arradondo, the cowardly police chief who immediately called Floyd’s death a “murder”;

– Judge Peter Cahill, throwing out exculpatory evidence, rejected defense requests to move the trial out of Minneapolis, where the baying crowd could be heard inside the courtroom, and refused to sequester the jury;

– Jacob Frey, the mayor who turned to soy and who ordered the Third Precinct to sacrifice its police station to the mafia;

– Keith Ellison, the Antifa-embracing attorney general who trampled on the rule of law when he criticized Chauvin and the three other police officers imprisoned with him, and lied that Trump supporters (whom he called “white supremacists”) were the culprits of the riots;

– Tim Walz, the Biden-loving governor who refused to deploy the National Guard and instead allowed arson, looting and violent chaos to envelop Minneapolis for 13 days and spread to the rest of the country.

Frey, Ellison and Walz won re-election. Arradondo retired early. None of them have been held accountable. This incendiary insurrection of the left has been committed to memory.
