Trump and RFK Jr. appear at MSG rally 25 years after ex-prez sat courtside with JFK Jr.

History repeated itself on Sunday – sort of – when Donald Trump appeared at Madison Square Garden with a member of the Kennedy family during the ex-president’s boisterous rally. 

Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. both took the stage at different points inside the World’s Most Famous Arena 25 years after the businessman sat courtside at a New York Knicks game with John F. Kennedy Jr. months before he died in a plane crash.

A March 1999 photo of Trump and JFK Jr. reemerged Sunday that shows the two men taking in NBA action together at MSG as the Knicks narrowly topped the Indiana Pacers 94-93 in front of more than 19,000 fans.

The photo was also circulated online earlier this summer with a fake quote attributed to JFK Jr. that stated Trump would be an “unstoppable force for ultimate justice.” The phony online quote came after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dropped his independent presidential campaign and endorsed Trump, according to Reuters.

During the MSG rally on Sunday, RFK blasted the Democratic Party in front of nearly 20,000 people.

“A lot of people ask me why I left the Democratic Party, and I say, ‘I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me,’” Kennedy said to thunderous applause.

“This is not the party anymore of Martin Luther King, of Robert Kennedy or John Kennedy. That was the party of peace.”

While RFK Jr. has forcefully backed Trump, some of his relatives have sided with Vice President Kamala Harris.

Members of the Kennedy dynasty also spoke out against RFK’s ill-fated run for president.
