Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) revealed who he is dating at the end of the third Republican presidential debate on Wednesday in Miami.
“Senator @VoteTimScott’s campaign confirms to me that the woman seen on stage with him after tonight’s Republican debate is his girlfriend, Mindy,” said Associated Press reporter Meg Kinnard.
It is the first time the two have appeared together publicly.

Scott talked about his girlfriend in a few interviews in September while discussing his status as a single man while running for president.
Scott told Fox News that he has a “wonderful girlfriend,” who he described as a “smart Christian woman.”
Scott later told The Washington Post that he started dating the woman late last year after his friend from church set him up. The senator said he initially rejected the attempt to set up his friend, but then changed his mind after the friend showed him a photo of the woman.
He said he did not plan to drag her into the election campaign “unless I intend to marry her.”
“I hope that happens, to be honest,” he added.
“I have been very protective of my family and my loved ones,” the senator said. “I signed up for this. If we make it, she’ll sign up too, but at least she’ll know what she’s getting herself into. But until then, the only conversation I’m going to have about her anyway is now.”
