RFK Jr. Doubles Down On Calling Biden A Threat: ‘He Has A License For Any Kind Of Atrocity’

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. doubled down Tuesday on his claims that President Joe Biden poses a much greater risk to democracy than former President Donald Trump does.

Kennedy made the initial claim during a recent interview with CNN anchor Erin Burnett, and repeated his assessment during a Tuesday morning appearance on Fox News.

Fox News host Lawrence Jones opened the discussion, noting that Democrats and multiple media figures had repeatedly insisted that it was Trump, not Biden, who would pose the greatest risk to democracy as a whole.

“You raised some eyebrows yesterday when you were comparing the former president to the current president,” Jones began. “You said in an interview that you believe that Joe Biden is a bigger threat to democracy than Donald Trump.”

Jones shared a short clip from Kennedy’s CNN interview — during which he said he could “make the argument” that the threat from Biden was greater — before turning the floor over to the independent candidate.

“I said I can make that argument, and I think it’s an argument that we ought to be having,” Kennedy replied. “President — President Biden has done something that no other president in history has done, which is to order media — particularly the social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google — to censor his political opponents.”

Kennedy then detailed his own experience with the Biden administration’s alleged attempts to censor him directly.

“If you have a president who can censor his political opponents, he has a license for any kind of atrocity! THAT is a genuine threat to our democracy!” Kennedy continued.

He went on to say that he did consider some of Trump’s actions to be a threat to democracy, but that Biden’s apparent attempts to undermine the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution were far more damaging.

“Undermining the First Amendment of our Constitution and then weaponizing the federal agencies to get his opponents off the ballot — and in my case … denying me Secret Service protection, that’s never happened in history,” Kennedy added.
