Dems scream ‘racism,’ but NYC minorities are cheering Trump’s ICE raids

While Democrats kick and scream over President Trump’s drive to deport violent criminal illegal migrants, minorities in New York are thrilled that the feds are getting the thugs out of their communities.

Black and Hispanic residents in The Bronx cheered Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s raids Tuesday that ferreted out “asylum seekers” with warrants for vile crimes like murder and kidnapping, and even nabbed a Tren de Aragua ringleader.

Evelyn Brown, an 80-year-old Bronxite, put it succinctly: “Get them the hell out of the street so people don’t have to walk in fear.”

Amen to that.

Poor and minority neighborhoods have suffered the most from elite leftists’ insane anti-law-and-order policies, from recidivist crime to illegal immigration.

Take Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens: The city’s refusal to clear out criminals or cooperate with ICE left a majority Hispanic and Asian neighborhood completely overtaken by prostitutes, drugs and violence, thanks to Tren de Aragua gangbangers waved in by the Biden administration.

Democrats spent four years gaslighting Americans about the suffering they were inflicting and insisted that enforcing the law and closing the borders is fascism.

Meanwhile, Trump promised to end the madness and deport the scofflaws terrorizing neighborhoods and draining resources.

It’s no wonder, then, that he made massive gains among non-white voters across the country — from The Bronx, where his support shot up by 35% between 2020 and 2024, to majority-Hispanic border counties slammed by nonstop flow of border-jumpers.

He flipped Starr County, Texas, a community with a 97% Hispanic population that had voted blue for over a century; his support among Latinos nationwide rose by 16 percentage points from 2016.

While out-of-touch leftists try to appeal to black and Hispanic voters by wailing that cops are evil and the ICE raids are racist, what these Americans actually want is safer neighborhoods and less crime.

Which is why minorities are also consistently for more police presence in their neighborhoods, not less.

It’s hardly surprising that they also want dangerous illegal thugs off their streets.

Progressives hysterically argue that Trump’s campaign to deport criminal migrants is white supremacy in action.

The minority New Yorkers who are finally getting their neighborhoods back disagree.
