third part of 90 days: backwards The fifth season took an explosive turn when Andrei Castravet started fighting with a controversial partner Shekinah Garner and sarper Güven.
Immediately after arguing Maria De Nucciõ (née Rosa) and Brandan De NucciõDuring the difficult romance during the Monday, December 18, episode, Sarper, 43, called the new mom “manipulative” and pointed out the controlling behavior she exerted on Brandan. Andrei, 36, chimed in and said, “Like you,” referencing Sarper’s seemingly domineering approach to her relationship with Shekinah, 41.
Andrei continued to double down, telling Sarper that he and Shekinah have the same type of relationship as Mary and Brandan, and that Sarper himself is a “control freak.” The personal trainer disagreed with Andrei’s perspective and called the father of two “one of the most toxic men in the history of the show.”
Shekinah did not let Sarper enter the fight alone and defended him by calling Andrei manipulative towards his wife. Isabel Castravet (née Potthast). Andrei responded and, during the commercial break, approached Shekinah to tell her about her comments.
The real estate professional first asked Shekinah why she is “toxic,” and she responded by asking why Andrei likes to “challenge women.” After telling her to “sit down,” Andrei didn’t mince his words: “Fuck you,” she said.
Returning from commercial, Sarper made it clear that Andrei’s words were not welcome and even invited him to “meet in person,” indicating that a physical confrontation between the two men could occur. However, tempers seemed to calm down and the cast moved on to other hot topics.
Sarper and Shekinah made their 90 Day Fiancé: Backwards will debut in August, while Andrei and Elizabeth have been franchise staples since starring on the flagship show in 2018. Shekinah and the Turkey native have sparked intense controversy throughout their relationship, including Sarper’s admission that He has slept with more than 2,500 women. Shekinah’s sister, Shariyah, also took issue with Sarper when she first met him, and she told producers that she was “horrified” when he called Shekinah both a “whore” and a “bitch.”
The couple has also been at odds over their stances on having children. Their conflict reached such extreme levels during the November 20 episode that they appeared to break up, with Shekinah threatening, “If you’re going to keep this up, you’re going to lose me.” Sarper responded by saying that she would “forget [her] in two days” if necessary, prompting Shekinah to pack her bags.
Initially thinking his decision to leave was a ruse, Sarper returned with his tail between his legs and asked Shekinah to take him back. “I told you a lot of bad things, I know. I mean, I said I’ll forget you for two days. [sic]” he told her, handing her flowers while apologizing. “But believe me, after seeing that pain, I can’t forget you for two decades.”
Meanwhile, Andrei and Elizabeth have faced their own problems throughout their marriage, including tension between Andrei and the extended Potthast family. However, they managed to overcome the unexpected waves and now have two children together, proving that their love was made to last.
