Woman shot dead in NYC home, uncle wounded as cops find blood trail from car

A 32-year-old woman was shot dead and her uncle wounded inside her Queens home early Monday – with a blood trail found in a car parked outside, cops and sources said.

Jennifer Navarrete, 32, was found with a gunshot wound to her head inside the College Point multi-family home on 14th Road near 119th Street around 1:15 a.m., authorities said.

Navarrete was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS workers.

Her wounded uncle, 49, walked into Flushing Hospital about 15 minutes later with gunshot wounds to his arm and back, police and sources said. He was listed in stable condition.

Investigators found a Volkswagen parked outside the building – believed to belong to one of the victims – with a blood trail leading inside, sources said.

Four shell casings were also found at the scene, according to the sources.

The shooter is believed to be known to both victims, cops said.

A first-floor tenant reported spotting a man, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, running off after the shooting, according to the sources.

No arrests have been made, and investigators are digging for video that may provide clues.
