‘Winner winner, cookies for dinner’

It’s a sale-lebration.

America is exhausted by the sky-high cost of groceries so any sort of deal customers can find is a major win in this economy. Knowing that, some Costco shoppers have made it their mission to find mislabeled food products in the wholesale retailer that can save them some serious money.

In the r/costco subreddit on Reddit — which has over 900,000 very passionate members — after finding something mislabeled with a very inexpensive price tag, Costco enthusiasts run to the “My Mislabeled Moment” page to share their win of the day.

One of the most impressive finds is the almost 5 lb brisket for $1.34 one lucky buyer scored. Over 700 jealous commenters chimed in — many sharing how determined they are to find one of these coveted mislabeled finds.

Fellow Costco shoppers were very jealous of this person discovering the less than $2 brisket. Reddit

“I look at the labels of every damn brisket each time I visit Costco thanks to post like these, but I still think my day will never come,” one person said.

“Do people find these only when the store opens or what? Every time I go there are 500 people so I have 0 chance of this happening,” another comment read.

This under $2 brisket is just one of the many incredible steals shared in the subreddit.

Another Costco customer publicized how they stumbled upon a 10 lb log of ground beef for, wait for it — 10 cents. You really can’t make this up.

Shopping at Costco just got even more exciting after customers discovered mislabeled products. Reddit

“Literal chills,” one commenter wrote that basically summed up how we all felt after viewing this deal.

“Somebody in the meat dept is getting in trouble lmao,” another comical comment read.

A Costco worker’s comment was found in the thread giving insight to how this specific mislabeling probably happened: “I work for Costco as a meat cutter. Not only does it have the wrong price, but it’s the wrong product,” they said.

“That’s the tag we put on all the beef trimmings which is PLU 903. The PLU should be 157 so they didn’t make a typo, but failed to even key in the PLU before weighing it,” the commenter added.

Hunks of meat are not the only deals shoppers are finding. Another person posted a picture of the enormous tray of chocolate chip cookies they discovered for $1.21.

A tray of cookies for $1.21 is unheard of for any store. Reddit

“Winner winner, cookies for dinner,” someone wrote in response.

“Jesus I know this is Costco but a 24 count tray of those monsters??? That’s crazy. I assume it would be $30 normally,” another shocked commenter wrote.

“I need to be better at looking at prices. I’ve never been more jealous in my life!!!!!” a person shared.
