Wildflower Academy’s child care license has been suspended after allegations of child abuse that happened at the day care facility on Tuesday

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Wildflower Academy’s child care license has been suspended effective October 23, 2024 according to the South Dakota Department of Social Services.

Cabinet Secretary Matt Althoff said the program will remain suspended until the facility is determined to be in compliance with licensure requirements.

The suspension comes after allegations of child abuse that happened at the day care facility on Tuesday.

DSS cannot comment on any pending investigations by the Sioux Falls Police Department.
