Priscilla Presley Turned Elvis Presley’s Graceland Into a Tourist Attraction

Following the King of Rock and Roll’s death in 1977, Priscilla became the executor of his estate, as daughter Lisa Marie was his heir. It was Priscilla’s vision that Elvis’ beloved Memphis, Tennessee, mansion known as Graceland was turned into a museum and tourist attraction for his fans. It brings in an estimated $10 million a year in revenue to his estate. Lisa Marie inherited Graceland in 1993 when she turned 25.

“Sharing Graceland with the world was her idea from the start,” Priscilla’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, told Vanity Fair in an August 2023 interview. “She’s a beautiful woman, and she was a huge part of creating my grandfather’s legacy and Graceland. It’s very important to her.”

Following Lisa Marie’s death in January 2023 due to complications from a prior bariatric surgery, Riley became the sole trustee of Graceland. Her half sisters, Harper Lockwood and Finley Lockwood, whom Lisa Marie shared with ex-husband Michael Lockwood, received 15 percent ownership in Graceland’s entities.

Priscilla Presley Sued Her Former Business Associates for $1 Million

The Wedding at Graceland star filed aa $1 million lawsuit against former business associates in July 2024, claiming elder abuse and that they were trying to scam her out of her fortune.

In paperwork obtained by In Touch, Priscilla claimed $1 million was the amount stolen from her.

Priscilla claimed a woman named Brigitte Kruse befriended her and introduced her to Kevin Fialko, and the pair were able to convince the Elvis by the Presleys star replace her financial advisors with ones handpicked by them.

She alleged that under the duo’s advice, she set up companies where her associates received 80 percent of her income “that they fraudulently induced her into giving up.”

In her lawsuit, Pricilla claimed to have lost a total of $1 million in funds to the pair, as they “diverted all of her revenue to bank accounts that they set up and controlled, and drained those accounts of their funds.”

“The suit filed is a retaliatory lawsuit due to the one filed by Priscilla’s business partners last year,” Brigitte’s rep told Us Weekly in a statement on July 22, 2024. “We are confident that the facts will speak for themselves and justice will prevail.”
