Vermont private jet passenger Steven Shaw accused of trying to kiss flight attendant, spit on pilot while armed and high on mushrooms

Quite the trip!

An armed Vermont man high on mushrooms strolled onto a private jet at a New Jersey airport Tuesday and went berserk, attempting to kiss a flight attendant and unleashing other bizarre behavior before he ended up half-naked and in handcuffs.

Vermont private jet passenger Steven Shaw accused of trying to kiss flight attendant, spit on pilot while armed and high on mushrooms 37, was arrested by Port Authority cops at Teterboro Airport and hit with a slew of charges including assault and criminal trespassing after allegedly storming the tarmac with his two small dogs in tow, according to law enforcement sources.

Shaw was wandering around the Bergen County airport with his pups when he spotted a private jet with its door open and seemingly took that as an invitation to step aboard, the sources said.

He climbed into the aircraft and allegedly hugged and tried to smooch a flight attendant who was onboard, the sources said.

The sky-high hooligan then walked into the cockpit of the plane and allegedly spit on the pilot and assaulted him.

The pilot saw that Shaw had a gun and called the police — fearing the whacko was going to hijack the jet, according to the sources.

When Port Authority cops arrived, Shaw had gone into a bathroom inside the Atlantic Aviation building and locked himself in a stall.

He allegedly yelled “If you open the door, I will kill you” to the officers pleading with him to come out, the sources said.

Cops eventually coaxed the belligerent man to open the bathroom door.

He resisted arrest but was eventually cuffed and transported to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

When he did, Shaw was reportedly naked from the waist down and holding one of his dogs.

The other dog was found walking around the building.

He reportedly told the officers that he was high on mushrooms, according to the sources.

Investigators later recovered a 9-mm handgun from the private jet.

Shaw was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, assault, burglary and criminal trespassing.

“This was a serious breach of security. You had an armed man walk onto a plane,” a law enforcement source said. “The pilot was afraid that Shaw was going to hijack the plane.”
