Trump Jury Selection Reportedly Underway as D.C. Residents Receive Notice
Washington, D.C. residents have begun receiving notices to appear for a jury selection process for what appears to be former President Donald Trump’s election interference trial, according to NBC News.
At least one DC resident shared photos with the outlet showing a notice to take a “pre-screening” quiz on February 9. The photos continued to indicate that the jury was up for a trial on March 4. While the notice does not name After the Trial, both dates coincide with the timeline of Trump’s court case.
“The date is public and the duration is suspicious,” the person who received the notice told NBC. “You can easily infer what it is.”
Trump’s election interference case is one of four indictments currently brought against him. The former president is already fighting accusations of civil fraud in New York, but also faces accusations of mishandling classified documents in Florida and another case of election interference in Georgia, in addition to the one in DC.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
A federal appeals court also ruled late last week that Trump is not immune to face civil lawsuits related to the storming of the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.
APPEALS COURT REINSTATE GAG ORDER IN TRUMP FRAUD CASE
Capitol Police officers and members of congress who were at the US Capitol that day have filed cases seeking civil damages “for harm they allege they suffered as a result of the riot,” with Trump being the only defendant in the lawsuits.
Meanwhile, in New York, Trump accused both New York Attorney General Letitia James and Judge Arthur Engoron of political bias in his fraud case. His rhetoric led to the imposition of a gag order regarding court staff.
“They are defending the worst and least respected Attorney General of the United States, Letitia James, who is a global disgrace, as is her illegal witch hunt against me. Judge Engoron’s radical and unprecedented actions will keep COMPANIES and JOBS out of New York State forever,” Trump wrote in a recent social media post.
