To Boldly Go Where He’s Never Gone Before. Shatner is coming to Sioux Falls
Each year, Scott Abdallah co-chairs the Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner and Children’s Chairty Fundraiser. This year marks the 43rd anniversary of the event, which was founded by Scott’s dad Gene in 1982. The event will be held on October 30th at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Nearly 2,000 people are expected to attend. The keynote speaker is legendary actor, William Shatner.
The event allows community leaders to come together to thank law enforcement from across South Dakota for their dedication to protecting the public. Through the donations from community leaders, money is also raised for children’s charities. This year, donations will be made in the name of law enforcement to the Children’s Home Society, Ronald McDonald House, Lifescape, South Dakota Special Olympics, Make-A-Wish, Children’s Miracle Network, Call to Freedom, Family Visitation Center, Cop And Kids and Sioux Falls Cares.
Anyone interested in supporting this event should call 605-338-4304 and ask for Jennifer Herr. Limited seats are available for $75 each. A single table of 10 is available for $750. Doors open for a social hour at the Convention Center at 5:30 p.m., with dinner beginning around 6:45 p.m. followed by the program.
