Three people found dead in NYC in suspected murder-suicide: sources
Three people were found fatally shot in the Bronx Wednesday night in what is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, according to police and sources.
The trio were found around 9 p.m. on Southern Boulevard near Prospect Avenue, with photos showing bodybags being taken out of a home as well as a gun next to a large pool of blood outside.
A man and a woman, both 57, were pronounced dead at the scene, the NYPD said.
Both had been shot in the head and the man also had been shot multiple other times in the body, cops said.
A 34-year-old man was also found with a gunshot to the head.
He was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
The younger man was found with a gun next to him, according to sources.
It was not immediately clear what relationship the victims had with each other or what caused the shooting.
It was being eyed as a suspected murder-suicide, according to sources, although the NYPD said it was too early to say.
Identification of the victims is pending family notification, police said.
No arrests have been made as of Thursday morning, police said as the investigation continues.
