One engagement, two divorces, rehab and cheating allegations — Season 2 of Bravo’s hit The Valley has it all.
“This is the craziest season of reality TV ever,” says Jax Taylor, who checked into a mental health facility while dealing with substance abuse issues and the demise of his five-year marriage to costar Brittany Cartwright.
Here, the exes join Danny and Nia Booko (who are expecting their fourth child), Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick (who are engaged and expecting their first child in June), recently divorced exes Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei, Jason and Janet Caperna, and Jasmine Goode and Zack Wickham to tell In Touch’s Fortune Benatar about what’s in store.
Who brings the most drama?
Jax: I spent most of the season in a mental health facility, so I wasn’t there. But it’s safe to say my situation with Brittany will be the toughest to watch.
Luke: Jax proves he doesn’t have to be around to stir things up.
Danny and Nia: It’s a tie between Janet and Jax.
Janet: People you least expect.
Kristen: I’m happy to say the answer is not me!
Jason: Kristen loves to stir the pot and walk away while the soup is boiling.
Michelle: Jesse. Viewers will see the type of man he is and how he tends to behave when he doesn’t get his way.
Jesse, you accuse her of cheating?
Jesse: A lot of new information has come to my attention and it’s disappointing to learn, but you move on.
Jax, how are you now?
Jax: I am sober, but every day is a challenge. I take things one day at a time. Otherwise, it can feel too overwhelming. My goal is to continue making good choices and trying to be the best father and role model for my son.
How is your relationship with Cruz?
Jax: Brittany has lost a lot of trust in me, which I can’t blame her for. She controls the shots and has Cruz the majority of the time. When I get to spend time with him, I don’t take a second for granted.
Brittany, do you think he’s changed?
Brittany: More than anyone in this world, I want Jax to get better. Right now, it’s too soon to say. Time will tell. Despite everything, Cruz is such a happy little boy and I’m so thankful for that.
Nia, how is it being pregnant with Kristen at the same time?
Nia: I’m so excited. We’ll be attending sensory classes together [with the babies] for sure!
Jasmine, you recently got engaged to Melissa Marie. How’s it going?
Jasmine: Great! We’re having so much fun planning our wedding.
Jason, Kristen has noted you don’t always wear your wedding ring….
Jason: I love Janet and our son more than anything and would never do anything to risk losing their trust. Always consider the source when hearing a rumor!
Zack, how have you supported Brittany and Kristen this season?
Zack: Emotionally, physically, spiritually — basically every “ally” there is. That’s what best friends do!
