Tennessee brute arrested for randomly murdering sleeping homeless man in NYC: sources
A maniac from Tennessee was arrested Wednesday for allegedly randomly killing a sleeping homeless man outside a Chinatown hotel last month, according to sources and police.
Shichun Lin, 58 — who sources said is also homeless — allegedly stabbed a dozing Kan Shing Cheung, 68, multiple times in the chest around 3:15 a.m. on Nov. 8.
Hours later, cops discovered Shing Cheung dead and lying face down in a pool of blood outside the Fairfield Inn and Suites on East Broadway and Pike Street around 8:15 a.m, sources told The Post.
Lin allegedly left the gory scene with a plastic bag tied around his waist and fled to his hometown in Bristol, Tenn., sources said.
Police arrested him there this week.
Lin walked with his head down and said nothing as a pair of detectives led him out of the 5th Precinct to his arraignment Thursday morning.
He has one prior arrest for shoplifting in Queens in 2022, according to sources.
Lin was arraigned in Manhattan Supreme Court on murder charges and held without bail.
