Sweet-looking dog branded a ‘jerk’ gets adopted anyway

A sweet looking dog named Eddie comes with a warning tag!

The Humane Society of Wichita County, Texas, posted a photo of a small black dog with adorable hazel eyes and told potential adopters not to be fooled by its innocent air earlier this month.

“This is Eddie, Eddie is a jerk.” the post read next to a photo of the dog with a sweater. “He weighs 17 pounds and could take on a Rottweiler and win.”

But things don’t get much better for the little dog, since the pet organization didn’t stop there.

Little Eddie may melt your heart, but he’ll also have your back in a fight, the humane society said.

“If you got into a bar fight, Eddie would have your back and confront the 5 guys, put his cigarette out in their foreheads, and not spill a drop of his beer while doing it,” the post said.

Plus, Eddie has a Bronx attitude and they suspected that if he were human, he would “wear a wife beater t-shirt and have a tattoo that says MOM on his arm.”

“So, if you think you are man enough to adopt him, be our guest,” the society pleaded. “We want Eddie out of here because he scares our big dogs.”

And luckily for Eddie, he was adopted and snuggled up to his new owner right away.

“As long as they keep his cigarettes and beer well stocked and keep him away from the bulldogs staring at him from across the yard (although I’m pretty sure he could easily yell at them), he’ll be fine!” the Humane Society happily wrote.

His new owners posted a photo of him in the comment and the pooch’s mean attitude seemed to fade as he snuggled up around his owner on the couch.
