Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Lost 40 Pounds ‘for Herself’
Christine Brown is looking better than ever after losing 40 pounds. A source exclusively tells In Touch that this might be a sign that she has truly moved on with new hubby David Woolley — and put her past life with ex-husband Kody Brown behind her.
“She lost the weight for herself, not for anybody else, not for her new husband, who loves her any size,” the insider says. “It’s just that she hated feeling weighed down and a lot of that excess baggage came from her unhappy union with Kody.”
Christine, 52, called it quits with the Brown Family Entertainment founder, 55, in November 2021.
“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.”
Now that she’s moved on with David, 60, the source reveals that Christine is “happy and healthy and living life as an optimist.”
“She’s shed the pounds and the cobwebs from her previous life as a sister wife, though she’s still on good terms with [Kody’s other ex-wives] Meri [Brown] and Janelle [Brown],” the source says. “She loves her slimmed down figure and going shopping and picking out jeans and cute tops. She’s still got a bit of belly, but she’s working on it. She’s not being hard on herself.”
The insider concludes, “For the first time in a long time, she’s content in a relationship, and the big new family she inherited has been so welcoming. She has much to be thankful for going into 2025.”
Christine met David on a dating app in October 2022, and the pair met in person for the first time that December. However, she didn’t reveal to fans that she was dating anyone until February 2023. She and David went public on Valentine’s Day that year.
“I finally found the love of my life, David,” she captioned a selfie with her new man. “The first time he held me close, it felt like my soul took its first breath. He’s wonderful and kind, incredible with my children and an adorable grandpa. I never dreamed I could find a love like this.”
The couple moved fast, and Christine announced their engagement in April 2023. “David treats me like a queen and tells me I’m beautiful every day,” she told People. “I’ve never been in love like this before and the world seems like a brighter place with him in it.”
The reality star added, “I’m so excited for the wonderful adventure we are going to embark on for the rest of our lives.”
Christine and David tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony in Moab, Utah, on October 7, 2023. “It’s a fairytale. It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true,” she told People of their nuptials.
Fans have watched Christine’s relationship with David unfold on Sister Wives, and she hasn’t held back when it comes to gushing about her husband or comparing him to her ex.
“I never loved Kody as much as I love David,” she said during the November 17 episode. “Was never in love with Kody like I’m in love with David. Never.”
