Selling Sunset’s Chelsea Lazkani Works Out Divorce Deal With Ex

Selling Sunset’s Chelsea Lazkani is one step closer to being back on the market after she worked out a deal with her ex Jeff Lazkani to legally terminate their marriage while they work out a settlement, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Chelsea, 31, and Jeff, 40, executed an agreement on Monday, December 9, that will make them both legally single once a judge signs off. A hearing has been set for later today.

The deal states that they have yet to finalize a deal on property, financial or other issues.

The agreement comes after Jeff asked the court for help due to the case dragging on for over seven months without a resolution.

Jeff asked the court to declare the parties legally single while the divorce battle raged on.

He said, “[Chelsea] and I have not been able to settle our case in the last seven months since this matter began. I would like to move forward with my life and request that this court terminate my marital status.”

As In Touch previously reported, Chelsea denied she was the reason for the case taking so long to finalize. She said Jeff had decided to hire new lawyers “which has slowed this case down.”

Chelsea said she was eager to settle the case as much as her ex.

In addition, Chelsea initially claimed the proposal that Jeff asked the court to sign off on did not offer her and their children “sufficient protection.” Jeff denied the claim.

The parties were eventually able to work out the deal they presented to the court.

Back in March, Chelsea filed for divorce from Jeff after seven years of marriage.

In her filing, the Netflix star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Chelsea did not list a date of separation in her petition.

The exes, who met on Tinder, share two children: 3-year-old Melia and 5-year-old Maddox. Chelsea asked the court to award her monthly spousal support. Jeff opposed the request for support. He also asked that he be awarded exclusive use of their home in Manhattan Beach, California.

“During the marriage, the parties acquired the Manhattan Beach Property for approximately $2,900,000, taking out a $500,000 mortgage against the property,” Jeff’s lawyer argued. “The mortgage is held solely in the name of [Jeff]. [Jeff] has a $2,100,000 million separate property reimbursement claim on the Manhattan Beach Property and estimates the fair market value of the property is approximately $4,200,000. [Jeff], without contribution from [Chelsea], pays the mortgage, property taxes, and other monthly bills on the Manhattan Beach property.”

Jeff also noted, “Irreconcilable differences have arisen that have led to the irremediable breakdown of our marriage. I do not believe that the passage of time, counseling or any other assistance by the court can save our marriage. Under no circumstances do I believe [Chelsea] and I could resolve our issues and reunify.”

The case is ongoing.

As In Touch previously reported, Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn is in the middle of her own nasty divorce battle. Christine, 36, has yet to finalize a settlement with her estranged husband, Christian Dumontet.
