Read Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s Divorce Settlement

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck hashed out a deal to end their divorce and In Touch obtained a copy of the settlement.
Per the agreement, executed on December 31, 2024, Jennifer, 55, and Ben, 52, agreed the date of separation was April 26, 2024.
The date of marriage was July 16, 2022. The exes agreed that “irreconcilable differences” were the reason for the marriage ending.
They said the differences had made it “impossible” for them to live together as husband and wife.
Per their deal, Jennifer and Ben settled all claims.
The filing read “The Court finds based on the stipulation of the Parties that they desire to make a final and complete settlement of all rights and obligations between the Parties arising out of their marriage, including with respect to the division of all community and quasi-community assets and liabilities, with respect to the confirmation of all separate property assets and liabilities, with respect to a complete and absolute termination of spousal support, with respect to al reimbursement and credit claims, and with respect to all other matters as set forth in this Judgment.”
Jennifer was awarded her clothing, jewelry and other personal effects.

The entertainer will keep all of her earnings from the date of separation and one-half of two City National Bank accounts.
Further, Jennifer will keep “all right, title and interest in and to any social security benefits and social security derivative rights to which [Jennifer] may be entitled to receive by reason of her past, present or future employment and/or her marriage.”
Ben was awarded his clothing and jewelry and all of his earnings since the breakup.
The actor will keep all rights to his businesses. Ben launched his production company Artists Equity with his friend Matt Damon in 2022.
Per TMZ, he will keep all interest in the company in the divorce.
Ben and Jennifer agreed to split the profits from their $60 million L.A. mansion that has been sitting on the market for months. Jennifer agreed to cover all debts she incurred before, during or after the date of separation.
The exes also agreed to terminate spousal support for either party.

The agreement read, “[Jennifer] waives, discharges and releases [Ben] from any and all claims and/or obligations related to the payment to [Jennifer] of spousal support, alimony, or maintenance of any kind whatsoever, including, but not limited to, temporary and permanent spousal support. [Jennifer] has been informed that she cannot at any time hereafter petition the Superior Court of the State of California, or any other court, for spousal support, alimony, or maintenance of any kind whatsoever, including, but not limited to, temporary and permanent spousal support, from [Ben].”
The deal continued, “[Jennifer] represents that she is aware that this waiver precludes her from requesting or seeking spousal support now or in the future.”
Further, the exes added a provision titled “agreement to live separate and apart.”

It read, “The parties shall be free from interference, authority or control by the other and each may conduct, carry on and engage in any employment, business or trade which to she or he deems advisable for her or his sole and separate use and benefit free from any control, restraint or interference, direct or indirect, by the other party, in all respects.”

The agreement was signed by Ben and Jennifer on September 25, 2024, but not entered into the court until this week.
