Porsha Williams Delayed Simon Wedding Over Bank Records: Divorce Docs

Porsha Williams introduced a bombshell witness in court as she fights her estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, over their prenuptial agreement, In Touch can exclusively report.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star submitted an affidavit from an attorney named Jordan B. Forman.

In his affidavit, Jordan said he worked for Porsha, 43, in 2021 to assist her in negotiating a prenup with Simon, “who at the time was her fiancée.”

Jordan said Simon, 60, was represented by his attorney Alex Cutler.

In the filing, Jordan said he first spoke to Alex in December 2021 about the prenup. Jordan said Simon’s lawyer sent over the first draft of the prenup in December 2021.

“Throughout the process of the parties negotiation of the prenuptial agreement, there were significant delays that extended the process over several months,” Jordan said. “As I recall, the most significant factor causing delays in the negotiation process was [Simon’s] inability to produce information regarding his income, assets and liabilities.”

“There had been discussions between the parties about the wedding(s) occurring in August and September 2022. However, those weddings never occurred, at least in part due to [Simon’s] failure to provide [Porsha] information relating to his income, assets and liabilities.” Jordan continued, “As a result, the wedding was postponed until the week of Thanksgiving in late November 2022.”

The reality star’s former lawyer said Porsha made it clear to Simon’s lawyers “on multiple occasions that there would be no wedding with [Simon] providing his financial information” to her.

Jordan said Simon finally produced his financial information in the fall of 2022. “The parties executed the final Prenuptial Agreement at the offices of Respondent’s counsel on November 17, 2022. That date is shown as the date of execution on the Prenuptial Agreement,” Jordan explained.

Porsha filed for divorce in February 2024 after 15 months of marriage. Simon opposed the prenup being enforced. A hearing was scheduled for this month. Days before the hearing, Simon was taken into custody by ICE.

His lawyers said the businessman is currently detained at a facility two hours outside of Atlanta.

As In Touch first reported, Simon’s legal team filed an emergency motion asking for the divorce hearing to be postponed Simon’s attorney requested that the hearing be pushed “to a date after [Simon] is released from ICE custody to give [Simon] an opportunity to adequately prepare for Court, participate in his own divorce and attend court proceedings.”

Simon’s lawyer argued, “The Motion to enforce the Prenuptial Agreement is a substantive motion that requires findings of fact by this Court. The outcome of the Motion will also have a substantial effect on how the remainder of the divorce case proceeds, as it may be dispositive of some of the issues and result in litigation on others.”

Porsha objected to the request and claimed Simon’s detention was the result of his own actions.

Her lawyer said, “Husband’s detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is the direct result of his attempt to illegally enter the United States. This detention is a foreseeable legal consequence of his actions and not an act of ‘divine intervention’ as claimed.”

The judge has yet to rule. The case is ongoing.
