Philadelphia Eagles superfans in New Jersey keep ‘Snoquan the Snowman’ in tact the entire month leading up to the Super Bowl

Frosty the running back, what a happy jolly soul!

A family of die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fans in New Jersey built a snowman they say worked as a good luck charm over the last month to get the team all the way to their fifth Super Bowl on Sunday.

The South Jersey family’s absolute behemoth of a snowman, dubbed “Snoquan the Snowman” after legendary Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, was first built on Jan. 12 — the same day as the team’s first playoff game.

Jersey local Gary and his family originally didn’t expect Snoquan — who they decked out in Eagles gear — to make it through the week, but he remained on their front lawn as cold temperatures persisted.

The snowman took his first tumble when the Eagles were set to play the Rams while Gary and his family were in Florida. By that point, the rest of their neighborhood was keeping watch over Snoquan and reached out to the vacationing family to let them know their giant was worse for wear.

“I said, ‘Gary you gotta fix the snowman.’ He said, ‘I’m in Florida.’ He said, ‘Somebody’s got to get that fixed.’ So, Dave and I took control and we got him fixed,” one of the neighbors told KYMA.

While reviving Snoquan, the neighbors added their own topper to the mountain of a snowman — an Eagles hat from the 2018 Super Bowl parade following their first and only title victory.

Either the Eagles hat was imbued with magic, or Snoquan is just the luckiest snowman in the world. He persisted, but he didn’t remain on the front lawn. Gary tracked down someone willing to sacrifice their freezer for the cause, and Snoquan lived there housed in a keg barrel through Super Bowl Sunday.

“We collected snow and put it in coolers and pack some snow on him every day,” said another Eagles fan.

“And every day we open it up and say, ‘Snoquan how ya doing?’” the fan told the local outlet.

Now, Snoquan is proudly standing in his rightful spot back on Gary’s lawn. The family is intent on keeping him up through the entire evening and has thankfully been blessed with agreeable snowman weather.

Other Eagles fans in the area worry about what Snoquan’s collapse could mean for their team’s chances.

“Bad omen…not good. No, not at all,” an Eagles fan told KYMA.

“That would cause a little anxiety in us,” Gary added.

Once the game wraps up, they will let Snoquan finally rest regardless of who wins. They promise he will be back and better than ever next season.

“In Snoquan, we absolutely trust,” Gary said.
