NYPD looking for smoke shop bandit, creep in Chelsea attack
A Manhattan smoke shop worker was punched and robbed overnight by a bandit dressed in black, police said.
The robber walked into the store at 370 Third Ave., near East 27th Street, at around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, and clocked the 26-year-old man behind the register in the face, police said.
The thief swiped an unknown amount of cash from the register and ran off. EMS took the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, the NYPD said. There were no arrests.
Cops are also looking for a creep who sexually abused a woman on the street in Chelsea this week.
The sicko approached a 28-year-old woman on West 26th Street and 11th Avenue around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, pulled down the victim’s pants and grabbed her buttocks, cops said.
The perv was last spotted running eastbound on West 26th Street, authorities said. The victim declined medical attention at the scene.
The NYPD on Saturday released a photo of the suspect, who is about 5-foot-8, medium complexion. He was wearing a blue basketball jersey with white writing over an orange T-shirt. He was also clad in blue shorts and white sneakers.
