No more Biden shenanigans on foreign money pouring into US colleges!

The Trump fight to clean up higher ed continues — now the president has issued an executive order demanding 100% transparency about foreign sources of funding for US schools.

Federal law already requires that schools report any foreign funding they receive.

But the Joe Biden administration broke with precedent and stopped releasing the donor names to the public and instead just listed the place of origin.

The result?

Nearly a billion dollars flowed in during his administration from shady offshore tax havens, often concealing the true national source of the funding.

The Trump move, per the White House, is aimed at universities suspected of not fully revealing who is sending big bucks from abroad, and will require Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to end Biden administration actions “that allow universities to obscure details regarding their foreign funding.”

And there is plenty of that: A 2020 DOE report found that fewer than 300 of the 6,000 schools required to disclose such donations had actually done so, and turned up some $6.5 billion in unreported foreign money.

From which countries does this massive stream of largesse flow?

In 2024, high among the leading givers were … China and Qatar.

That’s right: our main global strategic competitor and one of the worst terror sponsors in the world.

No shock, then, that Harvard and Cornell — two leading recipients of Qatari qash — offered such massive support for the Jew-hating thugs of their campus Tent-ifadas.

Or that there’s been a dramatic increase in the number of American researchers caught illegally collaborating with China.

We can’t wait to hear the justifications of elite schools as they scream and shout and sue to stop the sunlight getting in.

Noooooo! You can’t find out how much we actually got from the same people who fund Hamas!

Americans have a right to know their funding sources, especially if these schools get taxpayer dollars as well.

Time to end this farce once and for all. Good on the Trump administration for taking up this fight.
