Mark Zuckerberg admits he’s ‘the most awkward person

Meta billionaire Mark Zuckerberg called himself the “most awkward person” – and admitted there’s one name in particular the internet has tagged him with that has hurt his confidence.

Zuckerberg, 40, made the frank admission during an appearance on comedian Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast that was published on Monday after the host asked whether he had “ever felt socially awkward.”

“No, I’m really smooth,” Zuckerberg sarcastically replied.

“No, obviously, yes, I’m like the most awkward person,” Zuckerberg added. “People have been calling me a ‘robot’ online for 20 years. It does wonders for my confidence.”

Von replied by joking that Zuckerberg looked like “a guy” who had “watched a video on how to be a ‘guy’ on YouTube or something,” drawing a laugh from the Meta CEO.

The comedian said that people are “all awkward in different ways” and suggested there must be environments where Zuckerberg may not be awkward at all.

“I haven’t found those environments yet,” Zuckerberg joked.

The billionaire also surprised Von when he admitted to building an underground tunnel in Hawaii, which media reports referred to as a “Doomsday bunker.”

“Zunkie got the bunky,” Von said, before listing off the things he would do as a billionaire, which ironically happened to include building an underground tunnel.

“It’s more of an underground storage situation,” Zuckerberg said, hitting back against “memes” suggesting he was constructing a “bunker.”

Von asked Zuckerberg about his infamous “Doomsday bunker,” joking with the CEO that he would use it to “hide a bit of dope.” Theo Von/YoutTube

“It’s a good place to hide a little bit of dope,” Von said, as he marvelled at images of Zuckerberg’s property. “That’s what I would say, dude. That’s what I would do.”

“Well, you and I differ,” Zuckerberg said.
