Man vows ‘never to do Secret Santa again’ after he goes ‘up and beyond’ with his present and gets Reese’s, Hersheys

A disgruntled man proclaimed he “will not be participating in Secret Santa” at his work anymore after he received a gift he felt was pathetic.
The man, who didn’t identify himself, held a small blue box as he showed his viewers the lackluster present from his mysterious sender
“I will not be participating in Secret Santa anymore at any job, any workplace ever again,” he said on TikTok.
The worker explained how everyone at his job was supposed to bring a gift, adding that he went “all out” for his Secret Santa assignment.
“…I put Christmas lights on the bag, Santa paper, I had all kind of stocking stuffers in the bag, I put bells in the bag,” he added. “The lady that I got I went above and beyond.”
“It’s Christmas time, some people don’t even get a gift and Secret Santa sometimes, that person may just get that one gift so I may [sic] sure I always go up and beyond.”
He then adds that everybody was instructed to put their bags down on the shelves before he was informed that his Secret Santa didn’t come into work and he would receive his gift another day.
The annoyed worker revealed he eventually received a a handful of assorted mini chocolates.
“I get to work today, I get my gift y’all, she hands me my gift, I open it up and this is what I have, now mind you the limit was $25,” he said.
“Now I know Reeses, Hersey’s, and Mr. GoodBar can be kind of on the expensive side but I said $25? Well maybe, she spent a little bit of money on the bow and the box because the box is kind of fancy,” the worker says before signing off on the video.

Social media users shared the same sentiment as the worker and were extremely put off by the cheap candy gift box.
“I would leave it in a public spot in the office with a note that says “FREE SNACKS,” a commenter said.
“Dump the reception desk candy bowl into a box and called it a day,” one replier jokingly wrote.
Some viewers gave their own not-so-great experiences when it came to Secret Santa at work.
“I’ll never forget at previous job I never even got my present. My Secret Santa kept saying he was bringing it, then dude quit like a week later,” an unhappy user replied.
“Our Secret Santa was supposed to be $25-$50 and my boss got my name and she gave me a trinket the ones people sell on the corner for $.25 for the blind — so I took her gift,” one naughty replier claimed.
