Man injured jumping from 2nd-floor lobby of Trump Tower: cops
A man was injured when he jumped from the second-floor lobby of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan Thursday afternoon, cops said.
The unidentified man was acting erratically on the second floor of the ornate, multi-level lobby of the Fifth Avenue skyscraper around 4:20 p.m. when he was asked to leave by NYPD officers, law enforcement sources told The Post.
The man jumped over the railing, and fell into the lobby one story below, they added.
The lobby of the 68-story tower, which features residential, commercial and retail spaces, is open to the public,
Though he suffered unspecified injuries, the man was conscious when first responders arrived, and he was taken to an area hospital to be treated, the sources said.
He was later intubated, cops said Thursday evening.
Former President Donald Trump was not at his namesake mixed-use high-rise, where he has a penthouse triplex, at the time of the incident, sources said.
