Long Island maniac, 21, allegedly fired crossbow at sister’s head — in months-long plot to kill her

A twisted Long Island man was thrown behind bars after allegedly shooting his sister in the head with a crossbow — a deadly scheme he’d been reportedly plotting since December, according to police.
Samy Sedhom, 21, fired an arrow that clipped the right side of the 28-year-old victim’s face, splitting her ear in half and leaving her bloodied outside their Lawrence home around 9:23 p.m. Friday night, Nassau police announced Tuesday.
The deranged sibling waited in a car across the street for his sister to return home from the gym before unleashing the heinous attack as she tried to close the garage door, court records show, according to WABC.
Sedhom was arrested on Friday. He allegedly told police he was trying to kill his sister – and had been planning to since Christmas.
Police found the hunting arrow lodged into the back wall of the garage, and also seized a crossbow box, a samurai sword and a MacBook from the suspect’s bedroom, the outlet reported.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly told News 12 Long Island.
A “brother-sister rivalry” sparked the attack, Donnelly said, noting the siblings had been arguing over the temperature in the house.
“She liked to keep it cooler, he wanted it warmer,” she told the local news station.
Sedhom was charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, tampering with physical evidence, and first-degree stalking.
He was arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead, with an order of protection reportedly issued for his sister.
He is due back in court on Wednesday.
