Kamala Won’t Share Her ‘Current Position’ On Reparations. Mockery Ensues.
Vice President Kamala Harris faced a fresh round of mockery on Wednesday because her 2024 presidential campaign will not release her “current position” on reparations.
Philip Letsou, who works for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, got the ball rolling by posting to X a screenshot from POLITICO’s “Playbook” newsletter.

The newsletter cited a Washington Post report about advocates hoping Harris would support any reparations for black people like she did during her first presidential campaign in the 2020 race.
But as shown in the screenshot, POLITICO noted that, so far in the 2024 contest — with less than nine weeks until Election Day, “Her campaign isn’t commenting on her current position.”

Critics piled on with jabs, with some poking fun at Harris for not releasing very many policy stances despite having led a White House campaign this election cycle for more than a month.
“No policy platform on her website and now just straight-up refusing to say where she stands on issues. Very normal behavior,” said Abigail Jackson, communications director for Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO).

“Is this a thing? We’re not commenting on our current position? If this is a thing, why hasn’t every candidate always done it?” asked BlazeTV podcast host Stu Burguiere.
Others brought attention to a CNN interview in which Harris repeatedly said her “values have not changed” when pressed about her flip-flopping on a number of policy issues.
Former President Donald Trump‘s campaign shared a clip of Harris saying, “I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed.”

The MAGA War Room account run by Make America Great Again Inc. said Harris is being tightlipped now on reparations “because her position is dangerously liberal and wildly unpopular.”

And the hits kept coming, with one quipping how Harris would rather stick to “vibes” than outline her policy stances. Others condemned the media for not being tougher on Harris.
Kamala is the most radically left-wing politician to ever be nominated by the major parties, and the media is letting her cruise to election on Vibes! and memes. https://t.co/bqNtsZUuyr

“The press have spent more time this campaign on Trump taking a picture with Gold Star families than they have asking Kamala Harris to release *any* type of policy platform,” said RedState’s Bonchie.
Republican commentator Matt Whitlock said in another post to X, “Media literally yesterday: “let’s get back to what the end of ‘brat Summer’ means for the Kamala Harris campaign.”
