Kamala Harris lacks essential business wisdom for policy: Letters

The Issue: Miranda Devine’s column on the lack of business experience among Harris and her advisers.

Vice President Kamala Harris and her economic advisers will boast about reducing inflation to 3%. What they don’t mention are two key points (“Kam’s clueless biz-policy crew,” Miranda Devine, Sept. 2).

First, President Biden and Harris are responsible for the higher inflation, having previously inherited low inflation.

And second, even if inflation slows to 2% per year, prices have already increased by over 20% since they took office in 2020.

A 2% inflation rate still means we’re dealing with prices that are 20% higher — milk, bread and eggs will still cost 20% more than when former President Donald Trump left office.

Harris’ CNN interview was heavily edited and very short (“Swing & amiss in softball interview,” Aug. 31).

Some of Dana Bash’s questions were great, but Kamala refused to answer all of them. That says a lot — no answers, just vague promises of being “unburdened,” an ironic statement from someone who is perhaps the most burdened candidate ever by her past.

Kamala’s solution to our economy is “joy,” but joy alone won’t win in 2024.

“Amateur Hour” is exactly what this country would face if Kamala Harris and her socialist colleagues get elected.

Zero business experience is not what is needed in the Oval Office as families struggle paycheck to paycheck. Four years of Biden were more than enough, but the thought of adding Harris and her flip-flopping politics is frightening.

As Miranda Devine has pointed out, the gaggle of inept people who would decide the fate of our nation is alarming. Still no clear policy message from Harris — just a silly word salad.

Harris is asking us to give her immense power, yet refuses to tell us what she would do with it. This, among other things, shows her complete lack of respect for the American people.

Electing Harris means electing her socialist and Marxist economic agenda, killing democracy as we know it.

The Issue: The ignorance of many interviewed college students regarding Kamala Harris’ policies.

College students who support Vice President Kamala Harris, when interviewed, had no idea or interest in policies that will affect their lives for years to come (“Krazed and confused,” Sept. 2).

“Fun and relatable” issues like gender studies, abortion and the environment won’t secure a better future for them. Instead of listening to Kamala’s cackling, perhaps they should open their eyes and ears to Donald Trump’s rambling.

He’s talking about issues and policies that will actually improve their lives — like the economy, immigration, foreign affairs and inflation.

Harris supporters admit they have no idea what she stands for, yet will vote for her anyway.

That says it all. Some of them have no skin in the game, as they see their parents as a winning lottery ticket, clueless that with a potential inheritance comes living expenses and taxes. It’s all a joke to them — only they’re too stupid to realize the joke will be on them.

A number of Harris’ supporters don’t know what she stands for, and yet will still vote for her.
This shows that it’s strictly about party loyalty, not exactly what’s good for America.
