Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth Sell Their Arkansas Marital Home

Joy-Anna Forsyth (née Duggar) and husband Austin Forsyth have sold their marital home after listing the property in August 2024, In Touch can confirm.

The 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom house in Fayetteville, Arkansas, was originally listed for sale at a price of $369,000. The U.S. Sun reported on Thursday, March 20, revealing that the couple got well over the asking price and that it sold on Tuesday, March 18, for $381,000.

The outlet reported that the home was originally purchased by Joy-Anna’s dad, Jim-Bob Duggar, for a mere $30,000 in December 2010, and that he sold it to the couple in September 2019 for just $10.

Joy-Anna, 27, and Austin, 31, moved into the home in December 2019, according to the publication after the couple got married on May 26, 2017. The couple are parents of three growing children: Gideon, 7, Evelyn, 4, and 22-month old Gunner.

The 1,737-square-foot home sat on .98 acres of land. It offered “a rare blend of space, privacy, and convenience,” according to the realtor.com listing, which noted how the property was “just 2.5 miles from the University of Arkansas and 1.5 miles from I-49.”

“WE ARE MOVING!” Joy-Anna announced in a September 24, 2024, Instagram post.

“This is our LAST family picture in our home of almost 5 years! We’re a sweaty mess after moving but this picture starts a new adventure! We are so so excited to see what the next few years hold,” she continued.

The first photo Joy-Anna shared showed her family of five in an empty kitchen with hardwood floors, granite countertops and a ceiling fan. Joy-Anna had fans swipe to see how things looked when they first moved in. The proud parents posed on the front porch featuring a Christmas wreath on the door while Joy-Anna held then-toddler Gideon in her arms.

The 19 Kids and Counting alum opened up about the family’s decision to move in an Instagram Story video after she was peppered with questions from fans about why they were leaving their marital home.

“We have always dreamed of living on some land, having room for the kids to roam, having a farm, all of that. And the next right step for us was to move, and so we ended up moving two weeks ago,” she explained. “We are in a rental for a while, but God answered so many prayers just for the rental that we were looking for, the area that we were looking in. We had been looking for like, four or five months, every day. … This one kind of fell in our laps.”

Fans speculated that TLC alum was temporarily living in the California due to Austin’s job and Joy’s posts while staying in the Golden State.

The former Counting On star revealed she was in Los Angeles when she appeared on her sister Jinger Vuolo’s podcast on February 26. On March 1, she shared an Instagram Reel with “Morning in my life while staying in California,” written across it as she got her children ready for the day. However, neither she nor Austin have officially revealed if they’re setting up shop there for good.

While Joy-Anna hasn’t revealed if they’ve found a new house to purchase, she’s shared plenty of photos of the home the family is currently living in. It features a large living room, spacious backyard and a cement driveway that Gideon loves to ride his skateboard on. However, the snapshots from a “life lately” post on January 29 notably didn’t have much furniture in the home and a distinct lack of any photos or artwork on the walls, signaling the family might still be in their rental house.

One thing their current place does have is a garage that Joy-Anna is also using as a gym.

“First day of training for a triathlon in the books,” she captioned a Wednesday, March 19, Instagram video showing her setting up a treadmill and going for a run while surrounded by shelves of the family’s items in plastic storage bins.
