Jeannie Mai Accuses Jeezy of ‘Harassment’ Over Subpoenas

Jeannie Mai pleaded with a judge to shut down a “secret subpoena” that her ex-husband Jeezy issued over her bank records, claiming the move is an attempt to harass her, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Jeannie, 45, asked the court to quash a subpoena that Jeezy, 46, sent to City National Bank.

Jeannie said that Jeezy told City National to produce Jeannie’s personal and business bank accounts statements, deposit slips and evidence of withdrawals from said bank accounts prior to November 1.

As In Touch previously reported, Jeezy and Jeannie split in 2023 after two years of marriage. They share a daughter, Monaco.

Jeezy and Jeannie settled their bitter divorce in June. However, months later, Jeannie filed a new case accusing Jeezy of contempt. Jeezy denied the accusations.

In her new motion, Jeannie said Jeezy sent two separate subpoenas. The first was sent on October 22 and the second on October 28, she claimed. Jeannie accused Jeezy and his team of failing to tell her about the first one and she labeled it a “secret subpoena” in her motion.

Jeannie said the subpoenas are “oppressive, unreasonable and not calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence and are requested for the purposes of annoyance, embarrassment, and oppression.”

Her lawyer added, “Here, the subpoena is grossly overbroad and oppressive and it is clear that the subpoena was issued for the sole purpose of embarrassing and harassing Ms. Mai, as same requests information that in no way relates to the subject matter of the current Contempt action. Furthermore, Ms. Mai has provided numerous alternative avenues for [Jeezy] to obtain the information that he is now requesting from Ms. Mai’s personal and business bank accounts from the time period of June 2024 to October of 2024.”

Jeannie’s lawyer slammed Jeezy, adding “Given [Jeezy’s] propensity for failing to pay his financial obligations, both in his prior unrelated custody case, and based on the number of lawsuits that have been filed against him by his former employees and associates regarding non-payment of debts, it is clear that [Jeezy] motive in issuing said subpoena was for no other purpose than to harass and intimidate Ms. Mai.”

As In Touch previously reported, Jeannie claimed that Jeezy failed to comply with the terms of their divorce settlement in her contempt suit.

Jeannie claimed that Jeezy had failed to pay for certain daycare and school costs. She said he also failed to place $500,000 in an account for their daughter.

On top of that, Jeannie claimed Jeezy did not pay her up on $92,000 owed for four months’ rent she racked up, did not transfer the title to two cars to her and owed $4,000 in tuition and childcare costs.

Jeezy denied the accusations. He said that Jeannie was making “blatant misrepresentations in her pleadings in an attempt to mislead and delude this honorable court.”

The musician said he asked Jeannie for the lease agreement to confirm the rent she paid. He claimed she sent him various agreements that he could not verify and said she did not provide any proof of payment of “any amount of the four versions of the lease agreement.”

“It became readily apparent to [Jeezy] that all of the lease agreements provided by [Jeannie] were fraudulent,” his lawyer claimed.

“Based upon the foregoing, [Jeezy] is clearly of the belief that [Jeannie] is attempting to get reimbursed for a status quo housing allowance that she has never incurred, never needed, and never paid. [Jeannie] has always wanted Jenkins to simply pay her $25,000/month even though she has not paid any monthly rental payment for any month since she relocated from the former marital residence in California,” his motion said.

Jeezy said if his ex provided him with verifiable proof of any “monthly rental payment” he would have “certainly remitted payment.” Jeezy denied the claim he failed to open the bank account for his daughter and place the six-figure sum in it. He said Jeannie also failed to turn over the childcare receipts for him to review. He said the cars had yet to be transferred because the DMV was taking a long time to process the request.

His lawyer noted, “[Jeannie’s] behavior is wanton, reckless, misleading, and criminal.” Jeezy asked that Jeannie’s motion for contempt be shut down. The case is ongoing.
