JD Vance Explains Why He Doesn’t Use A Teleprompter, Kamala Hardest Hit

Senator JD Vance (R-OH) explained during a recent campaign stop why he typically does not need a teleprompter and took a swing at Vice President Kamala Harris in the process.

Vance, who is campaigning to be Vice President to former President Donald Trump, said that, unlike Harris, he had thoughts in his head and did not need to be constantly reminded what he was supposed to say.

“Where’s your teleprompter?” someone in the audience reportedly shouted to Vance.

“Ma’am, I don’t need a teleprompter. I’ve actually got thoughts in my head, unlike Kamala Harris,” Vance shot back, and the crowd roared.

The Ohio senator has been taking the fight directly to both Harris and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), since President Joe Biden was forced out of the race by his own party, making Harris the de facto nominee just over one month ago.

During that time, Vance has repeatedly pointed out the fact that Harris — because she is the sitting vice president in the Biden-Harris administration — could already be working to fix the problems she claims she will start fixing “on day one” of a Harris-Walz administration. “Day one” for Harris, Vance explained to a Michigan crowd last week, “was 1300 days ago.”

Vance has also criticized Harris for failing to take questions from the press, at one point approaching the reporters waiting by her plane for her to snub them yet again. He explained at the time that he was just coming over to check out Air Force Two because it might soon be his plane — and joked with reporters that he would take questions when she would not.

Harris finally agreed to one interview — more than a full month after she became the Democratic Party’s de facto nominee — with friendly CNN anchor Dana Bash. The interview, set to air on Thursday, will be pre-taped, and Harris will have Walz by her side throughout.
