Jake Paul and Jutta Leerdam Engaged After 2 Years of Dating

Jake Paul and longtime girlfriend Jutta Leerdam are officially engaged.
“We’re engaged,” Jake, 28, wrote alongside a carousel of photos showing him down on one knee for Jutta, 26, via Instagram on Saturday, March 22. “We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
In the images, Jake and Jutta both wore all white as proposed to the Olympic speed skater on a balcony with a gorgeous view of a mountainous background and still water. One picture showed Jutta covering her mouth with her hand in surprise, while another showed her jumping into the air in excitement. Jutta also gave fans a close up view of the huge sparkler that the YouTuber-turned-boxer gave her.
Jake and the Netherlands native first began talking in 2022 when he slid into her DMs. After getting to know one another, sparks flew and by April 2023, Jake had hard launched their relationship on Instagram.
“I’m Dutch now,” Jake captioned a set of photos that showed the couple holding hands and laughing together as they went on a run.
Both Jake’s and Jutta’s professional athletic careers, which have kept them busy over the years, plus, living on two different continents, led to them navigating the waters of a long distance relationship. Jutta previously opened up about some of the things Jake would do to keep the romance alive.
“In the morning when I wake up, I wake up extra, like, sometimes early from excitement because, like, he sends me, like, little vlogs. And everyday he sends me, like, videos of you guys just, like, living your life here and it feels like I’m really a part of your life,” she said during a YouTube video posted on June 21, 2023.
Jake chimed in, “Yeah, because we’re in a long-distance relationship. Whenever she goes to sleep at night, I’ll send her, like, two to five videos, making her feel like she’s a part of everything we have going on at night and such.”
In November 2024, Jake went up against legendary boxer Mike Tyson, and Jutta was right by his side through the entire process.
“Selling out the AT&T stadium and crashing Netflix together with the legend @miketyson. You’ve only been doing this sport for a few years and you make the most massive events happen,” she wrote via Instagram on November 16, 2024. “People can say what they want but they watched it and it broke records. Bigger than the Super Bowl. You keep showing me and the world that dreaming big and manifestation works @jakepaul I’m so proud of you.”
She continued, “You inspire me and so many people out there to think big and if you work hard and believe in it then you can make it happen.”
Jake has also been incredibly supportive of Jutta and her speed skating career, and even boasted about her talent shortly before he popped the question.
“So proud of my baby 1st, 2nd, and 3rd this weekend at the world championships. She’s a 7 time world champion now. The hardest worker and the most gorgeous. You inspire me babe,” he captioned a carousel of images via Instagram on Sunday, March 16. “Isn’t it ironic how the person who is the most important athlete to a sport is the one that they try to tear down the most. Can’t relate because we don’t fly at y’all’s altitude. I hope love runs the universe one day.”
