J. Lo’s Mom and Sisters ‘Total Rocks for Her’ Throughout Divorce (EXCL)

Jennifer Lopez has had a year from hell with her divorce from Ben Affleck, but she has plenty of support in her corner with her parents and sisters checking in on her 24/7 and helping keep her spirits up, a source exclusively tells In Touch

“She’s thanking her lucky stars right now for her family,” the source says, “she says all the time that she’d be lost without them.”

Since filing for divorce in August after a rough summer slowly building to the split, the couple hasn’t moved any closer to finalizing the details of the break up, as In Touch has reported. Neither Ben, 52, nor J. Lo, 55, can agree on the financial terms of the settlement, which have been complicated by their lack of a prenup and the imbalance of their personal fortunes.

What’s more, the Gone Girl actor has been running to his other ex, Jennifer Garner, for support throughout the ordeal – like he did when they were married. While he shares three children with Jen, 52, – Violet, 19, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 – J. Lo had considered their families blended and close to one another, which makes the fact that Ben would rather not see her unless absolutely necessary, usually for the kids, all the more painful.

Luckily, the source says that Jenny from the Block’s own family has been critical to helping her maintain her composure, especially sisters Lynda and Leslie. “Both of her sisters have been total rocks for her,” while the whole thing has been playing out. “She can call them any time day or night and they spend hours on the phone with her every week just letting her vent and reminding her that things will be okay, that she’s loved and never alone.”

“Jennifer knows that she is emotionally needy so she’s very grateful for how generous with their time her sisters are,” the insider continues. “She tries not to overdo it, because they both have very busy lives of their own, but it’s obviously been crisis time, so she has needed them a lot more, and her mom too.”

J. Lo even posted a heart-warming 79th-birthday tribute to her mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez, on Thursday, December 12.

“She’s close to her dad as well, but it’s been her sisters and mom that she’s really leaned on. Her mom has come to stay a fair amount and so have her sisters.”

“When Ben first left, they flew into action and made a schedule with her manager and between the four of them they were able to make sure she always had one of them with her,” a situation the insider says “went on for several months.”

“They all knew how bad things were for her. Now that time has gone by they have gone back to their own lives, but they call her every single day, without fail, multiple times. Jen defers to their advice as though they’re her therapists. They’re all encouraging her, telling her that she’s come back stronger.”

“She started from rock bottom before and soared and she’ll do it again.”
