Inside Anna Duggar’s Life on Duggar Family Compound

Anna Duggar‘s world is a somewhat lonely place as she lives on the Duggar family compound in Tontitown, Arkansas, while husband Josh Duggar serves a nearly 13-year prison sentence on child pornography charges.

The former 19 Kids and Counting star, 36, lives with the couple’s seven children in a “windowless warehouse” on Josh’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s property, The U.S. Sun reported on Thursday, December 5. The outlet noted that Anna and Josh, 36, began residing there prior to his arrest on child pornography charges in April 2021.

Like most of the Duggar kids, Anna’s children are home-schooled, although her sons socialize with kids outside the family through local sporting activities, the publication reported.

“Anna has been seen bringing her sons to basketball games weekly and watching them play from the stands,” a source told the outlet. The games have also given Anna a chance to make new friends of her own.

“She socializes with people and appears to have made friends with basketball parents,” the insider added. Anna and Josh share sons Marcus, Mason and Michael, in addition to daughters Mackynzie, Maryella, Meredith and Madyson.

Following Josh’s incarceration, Anna was considering moving to Texas to be closer to Josh while he served his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Seagoville, Texas. However, a source told In Touch in October 2022 that Josh was against the idea, fearing it would “influence” her to “leave him.”

“The problem is that Josh doesn’t want Anna and their kids moving away from his family,” the source shared. “He thinks it will create too much of a disconnection for her and his kids.”

In addition to taking care of her seven children, Anna entered the dog breeding business. She incorporated a business called Golden Grove Pups, LLC, filing paperwork in May with the Arkansas Secretary of State’s office.

The former reality star was listed as the sole agent, incorporator and member of the business, which was listed as being located in Tontitown, where Anna lives.

Anna has kept an exceptionally low profile ever since Josh was sentenced in May 2022 to 151 months in prison. He was found guilty of one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography on December 9, 2021, following a nine-day trial. The latter charge was dropped at Josh’s sentencing.

Josh was seen in photographs for the first time in two years in photos published by The U.S. Sun on December 2. He was in his brown prison uniform while exercising in the yard at FCI Seagoville. The disgraced former reality star was sporting a mustache and short beard, along with sunglasses.

Anna has not been photographed in public in quite some time. She made a rare social media appearance in an October 24, 2023, photo, smiling in front of an RV alongside a group of women.

The South Florida native made a controversial return to social media following a two-year absence in May, with a reaction to the guilty verdict in President-Elect Donald Trump‘s case of falsifying business records relating to hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels and his former lawyer Michael Cohen.

“Who knew it only took twelve votes to prematurely deliver the win for a presidential election?!?!” Anna wrote via X on May 30, adding the hashtag, “Trump Has Won.”
