A picture is worth a thousand words — and it could also be worth a thousand dates.

Relationship guru Katie Flowers says singles are being ignored on dating sites and apps because they’re failing to follow eight photo rules.

“Photos play a significant role in attracting suitable partners on dating sites,” Flowers proclaimed. “They should be honest, appealing, and reflect your personality.”

Along with selfies snapped from the wrong angle, it’s previously been reported that women get the ick from photos of fellas fishing in their app profiles.

But Flowers says that if you adhere to her advice, you’ll be reeling in matches in next to no time.

First: pick pics that show off your personal interests — and even one fishing image is acceptable.

“Don’t hesitate to showcase your interests and hobbies in your photos,” Flowers advises. “This can serve as an excellent icebreaker with potential partners.”

Secondly, avoid overediting your images, as authentic unfiltered photos subconsciously convey an interest in a genuine connection.

Meanwhile, Flowers also says snaps should be taken in “natural, clean or scenic environments for a positive impression.”

Additionally, choose candid photos that don’t appear overly staged and opt for images where you have positive body language.

As her sixth tip, Flowers urges that you refresh your photos regularly so that they’re an accurate representation of what you currently look like.

The guru also implores that app users follow “photo diversity,” meaning there’s a mix of close-ups, full-body shots, and activity photos for “a well-rounded profile.”

The guru’s eighth and final tip is her most simple, and perhaps her most important: Smile.

“It’s time to let your photos tell your story,” Flowers declared. “Attract the love you deserve!”
