‘I went to the wrong place’

Former President Trump criticized President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, for skipping his closed-door testimony in Congress on Wednesday.

Trump attacked the younger Biden during his speech in Iowa on Wednesday night, joking that the presidential scion “went to the wrong place” at the Capitol.

The former president joked that Hunter went to the Senate side of the US Capitol when he should have gone to the House side.

“You saw Hunter today, right?” Trump said. “He went to the wrong place. He went to the Senate instead of the House.”

“Everyone asks, ‘Where’s Hunter?’ Look, he always says, ‘Where’s Hunter?'” the former president continued. “What a two-tier justice system we have.”

Trump’s comments came on the same day that the younger Biden skipped his testimony on the House floor and instead held a news conference on the Senate side of the Capitol.

Although they occupy the same building, the House and Senate are separate parts of the Legislative Branch.

On Capitol Hill, the House has no authority from the Senate and vice versa.

Presidential scion faces intense backlash after holding a capitol hill Wednesday press conference in which he declined to submit a statement to Congress and declared that his father, President Biden, was never “financially involved” in his businesses.

Calls to hold Hunter in contempt of Congress began almost immediately after the press conference ended, while other critics pointed to allegations regarding his father’s relationship with his business deals as “change of goal”.

“They belittled my recovery and tried to dehumanize me, all to embarrass my father, who has dedicated his entire life to public service,” Hunter said. “For six years I have been the target of Trump’s relentless hit team. ‘Where’s Hunter?’ Well, here’s my answer. I’m here.”

He added that “my father was not financially involved in my business,” and said Biden’s father was not involved in his dealings with the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings, nor in his Chinese and other investments in the United States.

The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
