I accidentally burnt my Christmas gift after my husband hid it in the kitchen

These gifts are hot this year.

A woman scorched her own Christmas presents after her husband hid them from her in the oven.

In a TikTok clip with one million views, the content creator, who goes only by Kassi, was dismayed to find a set of loungewear — the Glow Waffle Henley Jogger Set from Victoria’s Secret, to be exact — stored in the oven after turning it on.

“When your husband thinks a good hiding place for your Christmas gifts is the oven,” she wrote along with the video.

Kassi apparently turned on the oven not knowing that the lavender loungewear set was hidden inside. Now, her holiday gift is ruined and charred with burn marks.

“But like why,” she lamented in the caption.

Gobsmacked TikTokers couldn’t believe her husband would store holiday gifts in the kitchen appliance.

“It’s like.. 3 weeks away?” one perplexed viewer commented. “Was he planning on keeping it there the entire time?!”

“Why did I think you just bought it to look used and torn on purpose,” someone else wrote.

“This is why you just wrap the present once you get it. You can leave it in plain sight,” advised one TikToker.

“He said ‘I never use the oven so clearly no one does!’” quipped another.

Her husband, Phil, explained in the comments that he was lucky enough to be able to exchange them for a new pair.

“For the record, I hid them then was away the next day so I forgot to tell her about them,” he said. “They did let me exchange them, luckily.”

The Post has reached out to Kassi for comment.
