He Was in Charge of Your Kids!

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls Middle School Teacher will make his first court appearance Friday afternoon.

The DCI arrested 27-year-old Justin Preuschl on Thursday. He’s charged with solicitation of a minor and is scheduled to be in court at 1:30 p.m.

According to a school board agenda, Preuschl has been working at Whittier Middle school since the beginning of the school year. Prior to that, he was a substitute teacher in Sioux Falls and Brandon.

The Sioux Falls School District released a statement Thursday afternoon stating, ‘The safety of students and staff is always the highest priority.’

It went on to say, ‘When allegations like these are presented, the District immediately places the person on leave, pending further legal proceedings.’
