Gwyneth Paltrow Supports Kylie Jenner’s Acting Career (EXCL)

Gwyneth Paltrow got along great with Timothée Chalamet when they recently filmed his upcoming ping-pong movie, Marty Supreme, together and she’s also a longtime big fan of the Kardashians. A source exclusively tells In Touch she’s willing to help Timothée’s girlfriend Kylie Jenner and the other members of her famous family as they look to branch into acting.

The Kardashians’ move from reality stars to polished thespians may roll some eyes, but the insider says Gwyneth, 52, feels she’s betting on a sure thing as she’s developed a serious respect for their willingness to expand their brand.

“Gwyneth has never shied away from the Kardashians,” the source says. “Especially since they became a massive multi-media business force in the late 2000s, right as Gwyn was starting to make Goop into a powerhouse in its own right.”

The source also notes the Seven actress is extremely pleased she got the chance to work with Timothée, 29, not just because of how steamy their on-set sex scenes got, as Life & Style had reported, but because it gave her the chance to get close to his girlfriend Kylie, 27.

“Now that Gwyn is aligned with Timmy Chalamet on their next film, she has more reason than ever to embrace all things Kardashian,” the source explains. “Marty Supreme is an important project for everybody because it’s a risky, weird movie that has the potential to break through and make a fortune.”

Beyond any kind of immediate collaboration that could come of her new friendship, the Iron Man actress is looking at the far future and genuinely admires the Kardashians’ long-term vision.

“Gwyn has been a Kardashian fan for years and is very impressed with everything they’ve managed to accomplish,” the source adds. “She saw their influence before almost anybody and recognized how important they would become in the worlds of fashion, social media, and entertainment.”

A veteran actress and entrepreneur herself, Gwyn’s strengthening bond with Kylie and the rest of the Kardashian family marks a new mentorship role in the industry that she’s also taken on with Timothée. But her intentions aren’t just rooted in admiration for the next generation of actors. Aligning herself with the Kardashian brand could result in plenty of new business opportunities for Goop and herself as an actress as the family continues to branch out.

Adding another layer to the connection is Gwyneth’s close friendship with Ryan Murphy, a television exec and the main force behind Glee and most importantly, Kim Kardashian’s acting debut in American Horror Story: Delicate. The hugely influential producer has reportedly taken a strong liking to Kim, as he did with Gwyn before. Their relationship is so solid that the source says that if the Shallow Hal actress wasn’t a fan of the Kardashians, it would’ve likely buried his relationship with Kim before it began.

“Gwyneth’s extremely close friend Ryan Murphy would not be mentoring Kim Kardashian and building multiple TV shows around her if Gwyneth had any kind of problem with Kim or any of her sisters,” the insider says.
