Fish falls from sky, damages New Jersey couple’s Tesla

That’s a pain in the bass.

A fish dropped out of the sky and smashed into a New Jersey couple’s Tesla parked in their driveway, cracking the car’s windshield.

Cynthia and Jeff Levine said they heard a crash outside of their Atlantic Highlands home — about a mile away from the nearest body of water, Raritan Bay, according to ABC 7.

“The car started honking, it went crazy honking which we had never heard. I didn’t know how to turn it off,” Cynthia said. “I went out and [Jeff] was in the yard somewhere. He heard the crash and everything, but ignored it.”

When they went to investigate, they found their Tesla’s windshield broken and covered in a mess of “fish scales and blood,” she said.

“We were like holy crap look at this,” Cynthia told the outlet.

The bizarre incident was caught on the car’s security footage, which shows a small fish suddenly fall out of the sky and smack hard into the Tesla.

They initially thought someone with a vendetta against them may have hurled the fish at the car.

“Is somebody after us?” Jeff said he wondered.

But they now believe they’ve identified the vandal.

“We also have an eagle’s nest in our backyard… We think it was probably the eagle,” Cynthia said.

Locals said it’s common to see birds flying around with fish in their mouths.

The eagles, the Levines think, must have dropped it’s dinner.

The Levines said they expect to get their Tesla back soon after repairs.

Jeff issued a message for any other birds looking to target his car.

“I lowered my deductibles, so if any birds are listening, please don’t drop it here because I’m covered now,” he joked.

A similar incident happened in nearby Sayreville last year, when a raptor dropped a fish on a transformer and knocked out power to thousands.
