Do you shower the ‘normal’ way? Woman sparks fierce debate
When showering, are you “normal” or “unhinged?”
That’s the question on one TikToker’s mind after discovering that people face different directions while washing up.
In a video scoring over 5 million views, creator Alexandra Lee revealed that she showers differently than her mom — only making the shocking discovery when asking for advice when remodeling her shower.
“I’ve just been informed by my mom that there are two ways people shower,” she informed her TikTok followers, of which she boasts more than 109,000.
She explained that while she showers primarily facing away from the running water, other people face the shower head.
“When I shower, the shower head is behind me so the water is on my hair and down my back,” she continued, comparing the ways she and her mom take a shower.
She does “turn around occasionally,” she explained, but her mom “showers primarily facing the shower head,” allowing the water to hit her in the face, which “shocked” Lee.
“I feel like the normal way to shower is with the shower head behind you,” she exclaimed.
Viewers were divided, hotly debating which method was best.
“No because voluntarily getting waterboarded doesn’t sound fun at all,” a TikToker, who faces away from the shower head, commented.
“Who the hell faces the water….” inquired another.
“Facing the water is unhinged,” snarked one person.
“Who DOESN’T face the water,” exclaimed someone else.
“I face the water the whole time other than washing my hair lol,” explained one user.
However, some TikTokers vouched for the “rotisserie chicken method,” or constant rotation so both sides are doused equally.
“I constantly move around like a rotisserie chicken! Equal time on both sides,” one viewer quipped.
“Constant rotation is the only way to do it,” stated another.
