DeAnna Pappas Drops Plea for Restraining Order Against Ex

Bachelorette alum DeAnna Pappas reached an agreement with her ex-husband, Stephen Stagliano, and informed the court she was dropping her request for a restraining order against him, In Touch can exclusively report.
On Thursday, March 27, DeAnna’s lawyer appeared for a hearing on the petition filed by the reality star earlier this month, seeking a court order requiring Stephen to stay 100 yards away from her.
At the hearing, DeAnna’s attorney told the judge the reality star hashed out a stipulation with Stephen and the restraining order was no longer wanted.
The case was then dismissed by the court.
The petition was filed days after DeAnna, 43, was arrested after an incident with Stephen during a custody exchange at her home on February 27.
DeAnna claimed Stephen demanded she come close to him, so he could smell if she had been drinking.
DeAnna, who appeared on season 11 of The Bachelor and then starred on season 4 of The Bachelorette, filed for divorce from Stephen in January 2023, after 11 years of marriage.
The duo share two children. DeAnna and Stephen settled their divorce in mid-2024.
Per their divorce agreement, the exes agreed not to drink excessively around their children.

The deal read, “Neither party shall drink alcohol in excess of the legal limit during their custody periods, or have a child and/or children in their custody and control when being intoxicated.”
During the custody exchange, DeAnna said she refused to go near Stephen, despite her being adamant she had not been drinking. She said she went back inside the home and locked her door, even though he allegedly blocked her garage from closing
DeAnna said she went back outside after hearing noise in her garage. She said she discovered her ex.
She said, “Stephen took his hands, grabbing me, and then forcefully shoved me. He pushed my back again. In fear that he would hurt me, I immediately went back inside the house and locked the door while I waited for the police to arrive.”
DeAnna said her daughter allegedly filmed the incident and submitted supposed screenshots of the video as evidence in court.
In her filing, DeAnna explained that Stephen called the cops, who ended up arresting her after Stephen accused her of domestic violence.
DeAnna said her ex-husband accused her of punching, slapping and grabbing his neck, which she said was “unequivocally untrue.”

DeAnna was arrested and booked on a misdemeanor charge. The former reality star was released hours later after paying a $20,000 bond.
DeAnna claimed she took a voluntarily drug and alcohol test after being released from jail. She claimed the results came back negative for both.
A couple of days later, DeAnna filed her petition for a restraining order against Stephen. Stephen did not respond to the petition before DeAnna dismissed it.
As In Touch previously reported, as part of the divorce, DeAnna originally demanded primary custody of their kids and spousal support, while Stephen requested joint physical custody.
Per their divorce deal, Stephen pays DeAnna $1,000 a month in child support and another $1,500 a month in spousal support.
