David Beckham Now Modeling With Tom Brady’s Ex Gisele Bundchen (EXCL)

David Beckham has been hanging out plenty with Tom Brady and even playing matchmaker for the NFL legend, but a source exclusively tells In Touch the bromance could well be over now that the soccer stud’s gotten cozy with his buddy’s ex wife Gisele Bündchen

David, 49, recently put his chiseled looks to use for a Hugo Boss campaign, his first for the brand, alongside modeling icons Naomi Watts and Gisele, 44. Making matters more complicated for the Brit is the fact he’s not just shot a one off series for the brand, but become an ambassador for BOSS, which means there’s likely much more collaboration down the line with his friend’s ex.

Worse yet, as the source explains, David’s push further into fashion with this latest move has Tom looking over his shoulder at another potential rival, risking his already situationally-dependent friendship.

“Working with Gisele sends a clear signal to the media that David isn’t messing around,” the source says. “He wants to be a relevant fashion and sports brand for decades to come and Tom is his main competition.”

“This is a shocking moment for people who have paid attention to how competitive these guys are, despite their very loose friendship.”

Tom announced to the world his professional football days are over “for good” in February 2023. But once a fierce competitor, always a fierce competitor, and now the source says he’s channeling his on-field energy into his post-retirement endeavors, which includes broadcasting and creating a personal brand for himself beyond his team and role as a player.

“Tom and David have been competing for the same set of eyeballs for decades,” the insider continues, “but everything has moved into a different phase now that Tom is retired and trying to establish himself as a broadcaster.”

While under normal circumstances there would be plenty of endorsement deals and T.V. spots to go around for legendary sports icons like David and Tom, however, David’s enthusiasm for working with Tom’s ex wife may throw a wrench into their friendship.

Gisele and Tom seemed like a perfect power match, but in October 2022 they filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage, during which time Tom won seven Super Bowls and Gisele appeared on the cover of 1200 magazines. The court declared their marriage dissolved and “irretrievably broken” the same day they filed.

The former Patriot has been extremely touchy about the divorce in the years since, notably reacting poorly to jokes about his ex wife during his Netflix roast. The insider also goes on to say how Tom isn’t going quietly into that good night of retirement, but is using his broadcasting platform to settle scores with other players.

“These guys are quote-unquote ‘friends,’ but David doesn’t have the hubris Tom has,” the source says. “He needs to get in the broadcast booth every week and criticize his former teammates and colleagues.”

“That’s a bridge David doesn’t need to cross to continue making a lot of money. That’s the big difference between him and Tom.”
