Brooklyn shooting leaves 13-year-old boy dead
A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed in Brooklyn Thursday night, according to police.
The child was shot in the chest and the arm near the corner of Brooklyn Avenue and St. Mark’s Avenue in Crown Heights, cops said.
Police received a 911 call at around 10:40 p.m. for a male shot at that location and found the boy with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, but couldn’t be saved. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
Police have not revealed a motive in the deadly shooting.
The identity of the child was not released to the public as cops are working to notify loved ones of his death.
