Bicycle-riding bandit knocks out, pick-pockets man in Brooklyn
A bicycle-riding bandit sucker-punched a man, knocking him out, before robbing the victim blind on a Brooklyn street, police said Friday.
The shocking attack happened just past 10:30 a.m. Sunday near Metropolitan Avenue and Manhattan Avenue in Williamsburg.
The assailant rode a Citi Bike up to his 26-year-old victim and whacked him on the right side of the head, leaving him unconscious, according to the NYPD.
The brute then picked the man’s pockets — grabbing his wallet and money.
The thief hopped back on the bicycle and fled.
He is still in the wind, according to cops.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for injuries to his face.
Video shared by police shows the ponytail-sporting suspect wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt and khaki pants as he peddles the Citi Bike.
