Rapid Fire

Tonight, we can turn that ‘inshallah’ ] into an ‘alhamdulillah’

Michigan Democratic Sen.-elect Abdul El-Sayed took the opportunity during his victory speech to remind Michiganders and Americans that his victory was not for them, but a critical step in Islam’s occupation of our country and its public offices.

El-Sayed’s victory was one of several for Democrats as the party is poised to enter 2027 controlling both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Addressing euphoric supporters Tuesday evening after his victory over Republican candidate Mike Rogers, the newly elected, widely grinning El-Sayed told them, stressing every syllable, “My name is Abdulrahman Mohammad El-Sayed.”

After expressing joy in victory, he continued, “Up until right about now, you might have noticed I always said inshallah or god willing whenever the outcome of this race was mentioned.”

“But today, tonight, we can turn that inshallah into alhamdulillah.”

The election is over, and El-Sayed has no need to tone it down.

He doesn’t have any intention of being an American public official. He intends to be an Islamic one.

This is not a nominal Protestant or lapsed Roman Catholic, making nominal mention of God in an expression of gratitude.

This is a zealot.

Islam is not one’s faith, but one’s politics.

The spiritual and the political exist inseparably. Muhammad was not just a self-proclaimed prophet, but a warlord and conqueror.

American values and America’s people come last, if at all, and public office is a means to power on one’s own terms.

For Republicans to come back, they need an answer for this.

The Democratic Party has increasingly loosened the parameters on what it means to be American. It’s now anyone with a pulse who wants to be here.

Republicans, to inspire the country and reignite a fire, must clarify that definition.

That includes taking a stand against what is definitely not American.
