Gypsy Rose Blanchard showed off her 25-pound weight loss just three months after she gave birth to baby No. 1, daughter Aurora.
“My 25 lbs weight loss,” Gypsy, 33, wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of her taken at the Prison Confessions Of Gypsy Rose Blanchard premiere in January 2024 and a more recent snapshot of her appearing slimmer in a white top and jeans.
After she shared the before and after photos on Sunday, April 13, several of her social media followers took to the comments section to applaud her progress. “Healthy and Happy looks amazing on you. Blessing you and yours,” one person commented, and another chimed in, “You look absolutely BEAUTIFUL.”
“The body is teaaaaaa for real,” a third person commented.
Meanwhile, Gypsy also took to the comments section to reveal how she shed the weight. “I’ve seen a lot of comments of people asking how I lost the weight,” she began. “So my weight loss journey started once getting out of prison so when I started eating healthier instead of prison food, the weight [began] to fall off. I started eating twice a day and smaller portions.”
Gypsy first made headlines when she and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, were found guilty of killing her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2015. She was released early from prison in December 2023. Meanwhile, Nicholas, 35, is currently serving a life sentence without parole.
The Lifetime star killed Dee Dee after she suffered from her mother’s abuse throughout her childhood. It’s believed that Dee Dee suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, which is a psychological disorder that’s “marked by attention-seeking behavior by a caregiver through those who are in their care,” per WebMD.
While she was married to Ryan Anderson when she was released from prison, Gypsy announced their split in March 2024 and rekindled her relationship with her former fiancé, Ken Urker, in April of that year.
Three months later, Gypsy shocked fans when she announced that she and Ken, 32, were expecting their first child together. “I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant. Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025,” she said in a video posted via YouTube at the time. “We’re both very excited. This was not planned at all. It was completely unexpected.”
Gypsy went on to document her first pregnancy before she gave birth to daughter Aurora in December 2024. While she has chosen not to share photos of Aurora’s face on social media, she has shared rare updates about her motherhood journey.
“Our little family,” she captioned a photo of her, Ken and Aurora via Instagram on April 5.
Fans made it clear that they couldn’t get enough of the family portrait, and many took to the comments section to express their excitement for Gypsy. “I am so impressed by how you are rising above all the junk that’s happened in your life and moving forward in a gorgeous way! YOU are now a great role model!!!” one person wrote.
