Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are continuing to spend alone time together amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. The exes were photographed in the same car together on Saturday, December 7, with Ben behind the wheel and Jen in the front seat.
Jennifer, 52, reportedly arrived at Ben’s home with bagels before they left the premises in his car together, according to Page Six.
The sighting comes just over a week after Jen and Ben, 52, spent Thanksgiving with their three children, Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. The family volunteered with Midnight Mission to serve food to the unhoused community in Los Angeles on the morning of November 28.
J. Lo, 55, filed for divorce from Ben in August after just two years of marriage and the Oscar winner has been “leaning on” his other ex-wife in the months since, a source exclusively told In Touch earlier this month.
“He’s still at her house all the time for family dinners and she never fails to send him home with a care package of food,” the insider spilled. “She’s very concerned about his health, to the point where she reminds him when he needs to see the doctor and the dentist and even sends him vitamins because she’s convinced he doesn’t get enough healthy food when she’s not cooking for him.”
Ben and Jen G. separated in 2015 after ten years of marriage but have remained amicable coparents ever since. In fact, she led the charge to help him enter rehab in 2018 amid his alcohol addiction relapse. The exes’ divorce was finalized in 2020 and he reconciled with J. Lo the following year. Ben and J. Lo were previously engaged in the early 2000s and almost walked down the aisle in 2003, but ended up calling off the wedding and then splitting in 2004.
But even amid the Air star’s second marriage, he maintained a close relationship with the 13 Going on 30 actress, and a source exclusively told In Touch in September that J. Lo thinks a romantic reunion between the two is possible. “She kept hoping that she and Ben might work things out, but he put in zero effort to fix things and only seemed interested in spending time with Jen [Garner] and his kids,” the insider said. “It was horrible for J. Lo because she’s now left wondering if she was some sort of pawn that he used to try and win Jen [Garner] back.”
Meanwhile, another source exclusively told In Touch that the “Get Right” singer is “ready to date again” now that the breakup isn’t so fresh. “She’s not looking for a serious relationship — for now — but she is looking to have some fun,” the insider shared. “She’s on the prowl again.”
While speaking with Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine in October, J.Lo – who’s been married four times – reflected on taking some time to herself amid her latest divorce. “It feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary,” she admitted. “It feels sad. It feels desperate. But when you sit in those feelings and go, ‘These things are not going to kill me,’ it’s like actually, ‘I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself.’ Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself. I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, ‘No. I’m actually good.’”
